Capacity Planning & Capacity Management Simplified.

Take control of disk space, growth rates, and database performance with Quest Capacity Manager for SQL Server. Its centralized console provides a complete view of capacity across your entire database environment. You get intelligent index maintenance, including advice and metrics for consolidation projects. Plus, it simplifies table partitioning to improve performance. Ensure the best possible capacity planning for your SQL Server database and the applications it supports.

Capacity Today – View disk capacity, including accurate mount point data collections, index fragmentation, system performance, and SharePoint capacity.

Capacity Planner – Manage SQL Server consolidation projects with ease.

Intelligent Defragmentation with Maintenance Window Support – Automate analysis and reorganization of fragmented database objects using defragmentation profiles. Set fragmentation thresholds and reorganization options. Schedule reorganization jobs during maintenance periods.

Partition Management – Create, alter, and delete partitions in a table through an easy-to-use interface. Easily manage partitioned tables in SQL Server 2005 and 2008.

Performance Capacity – Obtain performance-capacity charts and statistics based on historical data from the Spotlight® on SQL Server Enterprise statistics repository (if Spotlight is installed).

Fragmentation and Fill-Factor Management – Manage and monitor changes in fragmentation and fill factor at the group, instance, or database level.

SharePoint Module – Use graphical tools to manage the current and future needs of content databases specific to SharePoint.
